Well, day one is in the books! Each of us at the high school were excited meet our students on-campus and online today! See you tomorrow! #WeAreBroaddus | #BroaddusBulldogs | #ATOExcel

I want to commend everyone on today. Principals, teachers, staff, students, and parents have all gone above and to make today work! Today has not been without a few hiccups but we found a way to make it happen! Thank you all for thinking outside the box and making our school day work without internet. I know that wearing masks on the first day of school was unlike anything we ever thought we would have to do as educators but you still found a way to give your students a warm welcome and make them feel safe. These are difficult times and we must all continue to work together to get through this. I have encountered obstacles at the beginning of every year but we have always ended better than we started. Since we started off on such a great note today, I cannot wait to see where we are on May 21, 2021.
I just want to say, THANK YOU to all of the parents for entrusting BISD with your kids. We are so excited to have students back in our hallways and classrooms!
Sincerely yours,
Lucas Holloway
BISD Superintendent

July 31, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians:
As we continue to prepare for the 2020-2021 school year, which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, the District has designed a plan for Broaddus ISD. We will continue to fulfill our educational mission to empower all students to reach their utmost potential to achieve excellence in education and the workforce.
Please feel free to visit our website to learn more about: Remote Learning, COVID-19 Public Health and Safety Plan, School Supply Lists, and the Meet the Teacher/Schedule Pick Up. Please remember that guidelines passed to us by TEA, local, state, and federal agencies are constantly evolving. All plans are subject to change at any time. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your student’s campus for more information or guidance.
In order for Broaddus ISD teachers and staff to prepare for students in both learning environments, please choose either Traditional Setting or Remote Learning.
Your final decision needs to be made no later than August 9th for the first grading period. After the school year begins, parents will have the opportunity to switch between Traditional Setting or Remote Learning instruction by submitting a form 10 days prior to the next grading period.
No matter what happens throughout this school year, we are committed to the health and wellness of staff and students, excellent and equitable student experience, and safe operation of all our facilities.
Sincerely Yours,
Lucas Holloway
Superintendent of Broaddus ISD
