Friday was a busy day on the Elementary campus. We started the morning off with the LIVE morning announcements by Kenzi Sowell and Avery Becks who did a great job. We also celebrated August and September birthdays with a glow party on the stage during their lunch time. And ended the day with our first assembly of the year.

Estimate District Accountability Rating Broaddus ISD remains steadfast in its commitment to transparency and accountability. We are dedicated to keeping you informed about student achievement in education, a crucial aspect of our collective progress in the community. Key Things to Know: The A-F accountability rating system has been in place for several years. It evaluates district performance in three key domains: 1) student achievement, 2) school progress, and 3) closing the gaps. School accountability (A-F) ratings have been stalled for the 202-23 and 2023-24 school years due to an ongoing lawsuit between TEA and over 100 school districts. Courts have blocked the release of all school ratings until the suit is resolved. Broaddus ISD, as well as many other schools, utilizes software called DMAC, which enables us to input key data points related to accountability to get our “Estimate Accountability Rating.” Broaddus ISD Accountability Ratings 2021-22 SY = “A” (93) [official rating] 2022-23 SY = Estimate “A” (94) [official rating stalled due to TEA lawsuit] 2023-24 SY = Estimate “A” (96) [official rating stalled due to TEA lawsuit] College, Career & Military Readiness & Graduation Rates score = 100% We are incredibly proud of our students, parents, and staff for their hard work and dedication. Your unwavering support and understanding during these challenging times have been instrumental in our success. We want to express our deep appreciation to each of you for your role in helping us achieve this estimated “A” letter grade despite the obstacles and expectations set by the state for our public schools. Your support is invaluable; we want you to know how much we value it.

These seniors had the opportunity to discuss workforce needs from student perspectives with representatives from different businesses and organizations. Great job Brody, Ava, and Trenton!
