BROADDUS ISD VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Date Posted: 19 February 2019 Date Close: 1 March 2019 Position Title: Elementary Campus Secretary Reports To: Elementary Principal. Salary: Salary is per Broaddus ISD pay scale. Length of Work Year: One hundred and ninety seven days. Position Summary: The successful applicant will work under minimum supervision to ensure the efficient operation of the elementary office and provide clerical services to the elementary principal. Must be able to handle confidential information and engage in frequent contact with all levels of district employees, outside agencies, and the general public. Position Requirements: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of school district organization, operations and administrative policies. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing and scheduling. Excellent public relations, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis and do word processing Ability to multi-task numerous complex administrative activities Experience: Must have some experience working with the public. These FFA members participated in the San Angelo Ag Mechanics Show. They received a blue ribbon for their BBQ pit and won Reserve Champion Showmanship out of over 500 entries. Great job!!

Due to the HS girls playoff game in Cushing at 7PM, there has been a time change for the JH Dance! It will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 on Thur., Feb 14.
Tonight the Broaddus Boys Basketball Team takes on West Sabine at home. JV Boys begin at 6:00 pm instead of 5:00. We will recognize the seniors following the JV game around 7:00 pm. The Varsity Boys will begin directly after that. Go Bulldogs!

Attention Seniors: The Texas Rural Education Association has an $1,800 scholarship opportunity for students that live in rural areas. Only 3 applications can be submitted from Broaddus ISD. If you are interested, look at the criteria below, and see Mrs. Hranicky. This is on a first come, first serve basis. Eligibility Requirements: • Student must be from a Texas School District with a current TREA District Membership. • Student must be present at the TREA 2019 Summer Conference Opening Banquet on Friday, June 21, 2019 to receive award presentation. Student will forfeit scholarship award if not in attendance. • Student will provide to TREA, college enrollment verification no later than September 30, 2019 in order to receive check All recipients should plan to prepare a 2 minute video presentation giving their name, future plans i.e. college or post secondary school they plan to attend and their career goal.
Just a reminder that the Varsity Girls Basketball plays against Deweyville tonight in Warren at 5:15 pm. Boys will have their Senior Night at home tomorrow vs Colmesneil. Games begin at 5:00 pm tomorrow.
