April 9, 2019 Parents/Guardians, On Thursday, April 25 at 6pm, Broaddus High School will be hosting a 2019/2020 college/dual credit meeting in the high school cafeteria. This meeting will be for any incoming freshmen, sophomore, junior or senior students who would like to participate in college/dual credit classes for the spring and/or fall semesters. (Next year will be our first year to offer freshmen and sophomore students the opportunity to take dual credit/college courses.) Dual credit forms will be filled out, steps on applying to Angelina College will be covered and information concerning the dual credit program will be discussed, including how it affects students' GPA, class rank and high school/college credits. If you child is interested in taking dual credit/college courses next year, it is important that you both attend this meeting. Please call my office if you have any questions. It was a lot of hard work not luck that made this year's Shamrock Games a great success, and the sophomore class has a pot of gold profit of 2,400.80 to show for it! Mrs. Lewis, class sponsor, would like to thank all of the parents, students, and community members who pitched in to make this event so successful. Hats off to Trinity Dykes for selling around 150 raffle tickets, Geneka Lacy & Lility Utz for working so hard in the kitchen Friday, & Rachel Lakey & Olivia Parker for their awesome decorating, & Haley Welch & Lilith for their extra long hours Saturday.
