Just a reminder that summer break is winding down. The first day of school for students is Monday, August 20th. Also, this Thursday we will be hosting Meet the Teachers from 4:00pm-6:00pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thanks to Mrs. Fuller and her art classes for the newly painted hallway wall. It looks fantastic and really adds a great color splash to the student entry.

Congratulations to Autumn Dean for winning the Yearbook drawing for $20.00!!! Thank you all for your support this year and we can’t wait to hand out yearbooks in August!! We will have a few extras and are starting a waiting list. If you would like to be on the list simply email us at yearbook@broaddusisd.org and we will add your name to the list. Names will be added in the order received.

Broaddus Senior Scholarship Ceremony is Thursday at 6:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. Graduation will be held in the gymnasium on Friday, June 1st at 7:00 pm. Broaddus ISD is proud of our seniors!

There will be no school on Monday, May 28th due to Memorial Day observance. School will resume at its normal time on Tuesday. Have a great weekend.

Its still not too late to order a yearbook!! In fact, with so many ordering this week we have decided to extend the special we are currently running through Wednesday, May 30th. So, if you order a yearbook between now and May 30th you will automatically be entered into a drawing to receive $20 back off your order. Winner will be announced the last day of school June 1. You may purchase your copy by stopping by the high school office, ordering online at Balfour.com, or by phone at 1-800-944-5930.

Just a reminder that Broaddus ISD will be participating in the “Healthy Summer Meals for Kids” program this summer. This is available to students 18 and younger. Also, please contact the school cafeteria to pay existing breakfast and lunch balances before next Friday if your student has a remaining balance. You may contact the cafeteria if you have any questions. Thanks.

Reminder: Kindergarten and Fifth grade graduation pictures are tomorrow. (Thursday, May 24th)

Freshmen Focus is Tuesday, 5/22/18 at 5:30 in the cafeteria. This is for all incoming freshmen. Students will be able to fill out course selection sheets, discuss graduation plans, and review endorsement options. All incoming freshmen and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.

Just a reminder that athletic physicals are this Wednesday beginning at 8:00 am. We will need a completed form with parent signature, along with the cost of $15 by that time. If a student in grades 6-12 plans to participate in athletics next year they will need to have this completed.

Just a reminder we will begin STAAR testing again tomorrow. Letters were sent out last week reminding the grades and dates testing. Please make sure students get a good nights rest. Be safe and we’ll see you in the morning.

We have been celebrating “Teacher Appreciation Week” all week long. Thanks to the PTA for dropping off so many wonderful treats for our teachers! We appreciate the work PTA puts in too.

Elementary end of the year activities

Just a reminder that any 2018-2019 junior or senior that plans to take dual-credit classes this summer or next fall needs to attend the workshop tonight.
