The Veterans Day program at the JH/HS campus was a great success! Thank you so much to the veterans who came today to make this such a moving experience for our students!

Today we celebrate Veterans Day. This federal holiday is held on the anniversary of the end of World War I to honor veterans of the United States military and victims of all wars. Thank you veterans for your service and sacrifices.

Pre-K teachers took advantage of the election week to teach students about the voting process: registering, voting by secret ballot, and tallying the votes. They read “Duck for President” and had a mock election. It was a close race, but congratulations to Farmer Brown. :-)

Students in Mrs. Knopp's English classes participated in a Book Tasting with Mrs. Mitchell in the media center to get a taste of some of the new books available for checkout!
