District Counselor

Welcome Message:

Welcome! I am so glad you are here.

My name is Mrs. Tiffany Cooper, and I am honored to serve as the Broaddus ISD District Counselor. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

School is about more than academics—it is also a place where students discover their strengths, build meaningful relationships, explore future career opportunities, and develop the skills needed to navigate life's challenges. Whether a student needs support with academics, college and career planning, social or emotional concerns, goal setting, or simply someone to listen while you talk. I am here to help.

I believe that the strongest support for students comes through a partnership between school, home, and the community. I encourage students and families to reach out whenever questions or concerns arise. Together, we can help every student grow academically, socially, emotionally, and personally while preparing for success beyond graduation.

My door is always open!

I am a proud active member of the following organizations: American School Counselors Association (ASCA), Piney Woods Counseling Association (PWCA), Texas Counseling Association (TCA), and Lone Star State School Counselor Association (LSSSCA) .

Emergency & Crisis Information

If you or your child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.

Please remember that the school counselor is available during regular school hours and is not able to provide 24-hour crisis response. If a student is experiencing a mental health crisis outside of school hours, or if there are concerns about their immediate safety, contact emergency services or a crisis hotline right away.

Seek immediate help if a student is:

  • Talking about or threatening suicide or self-harm

  • Expressing thoughts of harming others

  • Experiencing a mental health crisis that places themselves or others at risk

  • In immediate danger due to abuse, violence, or another emergency

Crisis Resources

  • Emergency: Call 911

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988 to connect with a trained crisis counselor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Texas Child Abuse Hotline: Call 1-800-252-5400 or make a report online through the Texas Abuse Hotline if you suspect a child is being abused or neglected.

During school hours, students who are experiencing an urgent emotional concern should notify a teacher, administrator, or come directly to the counseling office so that support can be provided as quickly as possible.

Remember, asking for help is a sign of strength. You are not alone, and support is always available.
