Message From The Superintendent

BROADDUS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT PO, Box 58 • 215 Buchanan. Broaddus, Texas 75929. Phone: 936.872.3041 · Fax: 936.872.3699 Dear Parents/Guardians/Community, My name is Lucas Holloway, I am the new superintendent at Broaddus Independent School District. I am very excited about my new position and the role of leading and empowering each student at Broaddus ISD to achieve excellence in their education and workforce. I am a Broaddus graduate. Then, I went on to receive my Bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin to become a teacher/coach. I was a teacher/coach for six years and during those şix years, I went back to school for my Masters in Education. Then, I had the opportunity to come back to Broaddus as the Elementary Principal. While working as a campus administrator, I also earned my Superintendent's Certificate. While Elementary Principal, our campus achieved many different distinctions from TEA. In the 2016-2017 school year, the campus "Met Standard" and earned one distinction for "Top 25% in Student Progress". In 2017-2018, we “Met Standard" again and we earned 4 more distinctions in "English Language Arts", "Science", "Closing the Gaps", and "Post Secondary Readiness". It is my mission along with the rest of the district to empower and inspire students to be lifelong learners in a safe and supportive environment so that today's students can become tomorrow's leaders. The district is headed into a new direction. Be on the lookout for all of the different changes that are about to occur at Broaddus ISD and the impact that we are going to make on our students.
