Aiden Sowell drove in five runs on three hits to lead Broaddus past Leggett 19-1 on Wednesday at Leggett. Sowell doubled in the first inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the second inning, scoring two.

Broaddus scored 12 runs in the first inning on their way to victory. Several hits contributed to the explosion of runs in the first. Thomas Poore - 2 singles; Levi Sowell - triple; Greyson Warden - single, Cody Mundy - double, and A. Sowell - double.

Four more Bulldog runs crossed the plate in the second inning to extend the lead to 16-1. A duo of Sowell’s created the runs with Aiden Sowell’s single and Trenton Sowell’s home run. In total, Broaddus tallied 15 hits in the outing.

Josh Poore stepped on the mound first for the Bulldogs. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and one run over 1 ⅓ innings, striking out four and walking one. Trenton Sowell came in as relief, pitching 1 ⅔ innings of zero-run ball for Broaddus. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out five and walking none.

Broaddus will welcome Burkeville on Friday for their next game, weather permitting.
