As you drive through Broaddus, Texas Broaddus Student Council members hope you have a feeling of pride & patriotism when you see the 87 American Flags community members purchased to honor our veterans. These flags are to recognize the friends, family, loved ones, business owners, and dedicated community members who have served or are currently serving in the military. This service project will be carried out twice a year. You will see flags flying for a week in November and a week in July. Flags are 3 feet by 5 feet attached to an 8 foot pole. A brass nameplate is attached with the honored person's name. StuCo's goal is to eventually have 500 flags flying. Student Council members will sell flags again in late September or early October of 2019.
